Chris Baggott from Compendium recently posted about a new study by TopRank that asked over 400 marketers about their marketing plans for the next 6 months. The question was: "What 3 internet marketing tactics will you emphasize most in the next 6 months?"

Number one answer across the board was SEO followed,  by blogging as a close second (36%&33% respectively)  

“Corporate Web Site” received only 7% of the votes.

Several of our clients are blogging now with good results, including the Boston Chamber of Commmerce and the Eugene Chamber of Commerce.  These Chambers are finding new ways to engage their members and prospects in hopes of improving member retention and generating new member sales.  These are certainly two goals for any member-based organization - especially during slower economic times.
